TEACHING & MENTORSHIP

My teaching and mentorship philosophy (the Four C’s) is grounded in foundational 21st century competencies: Critical thinking, Creativity, Connection, and Collaboration.

My goals as a teacher and mentor are to excite students to critically evaluate and analyze course content, to creatively apply research findings to educational and policy contexts, to connect course material to their own lives, and to collaborate with other students and to use these networks and knowledge in their careers. At each stage in my academic career, I have sought opportunities to develop as an educator and mentor.
